Same here! It was a disappointment to watch it in revival at the Roxie in the 90s- the audience laughed and laughed. Perfect audience was us, under 10, watching alone and unattended.

There is nothing funny about this movie. It was the language of my nightmares for decades. I will look for Mill of the Stone Women
