happy 4th of july

i usually post photos and don't write much.
today however:
repeat after me:
we are a nation of immigrants
some people came here against their will and their stolen labor built much of our nation.
other people were here long before any of us came here.
real democracy includes economic democracy
our freedom is based on good public schools, public libraries and
class mobility
freedom to consume goods made by poorly paid workers is not freedom at all.
you can't consume yourself to freedom and democracy.
be good and treat other people well.
american rugged individualism doesn't mean treating other people like garbage
wealth based on the poverty of others isn't just unsustainable, it is right mean and stupid.
