Google Cornel West so you know something about about him. There is a difference between hard working people doing for themselves and their families ( the American ideal) and a capitalist system that puts profits before people, that depends on pointless consumption to stay afloat. Slavery is a natural outgrowth of capitalism. educate your self and you won't complain about having a little mind or lack the ability to read a short article. There are brave people and fear mongers in every culture. Best to you and good luck- sign your posts too, I'd love to know who I am discoursing withharmless neighborhood eccentrichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02673235354064024311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2576145545214634970.post-6329059595056253172015-01-19T15:14:21.648-08:002015-01-19T15:14:21.648-08:00my little mind wont let me read this lengthy "...my little mind wont let me read this lengthy "dialog" in its entirety. i'm sure, whoever would write about dr. king would be willing to "consider him" from their own self perspective. we all do, its almost impossible not too. in this day and age it also seems almost impossible for someone to actually take our word for what we say. we (a generalization for sure) want/do read things from our own perspectives. its normal, albeit, lazy. i would like to say that dr. king was probably saying exactly what he wanted to say. he was an amazing man, amazing orator, and one sold out to his Christianity. i believe, he really meant for us to live together in harmony. a lofty goal, unattainable probably, but a necessary work/endeavor. we must strive for freedom of all man kind. everywhere. but, if not for capitalism, what country would we have? as much as people hate this country and its economic system etc. what country is or has been better off? what country has had less racism? more "equality?" more freedom of speech, until lately anyway? a lack of class system? we need to remember Dr. King for what he did and said, and fight the way he would have had us fight to bring these things to pass.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
